Every Marquee, Every Price, One Call Away.

How we rebuilt Hale Events’ website so couples and companies can compare marquees by guest numbers and price, then call or ask for a quote in one tap.

The Business

Hale Events hires out marquees from Cleckheaton in West Yorkshire, a couple of minutes from junction 26 of the M62. It’s a small, family-run team led by Chris Hale, and the business has been putting up marquees since 2004. Weddings sit at the heart of it, alongside parties, corporate events, furniture hire and venue dressing.

The team covers the north of England within two hours of its warehouse, with towns like Leeds, York, Bradford, Wakefield, Huddersfield, Doncaster and Manchester on the list, and takes on work further afield between October and April. Corporate jobs range from training days and exhibitions to hospitality marquees and temporary warehouses.

The Challenge

A marquee is a big decision. Before anyone books, they want to know whether it will fit their guests, roughly what it will cost, and who they’ll be talking to.

The old homepage, archived in July 2024, opened with a large banner reading “Unforgettable Events Start with Stunning Marquees” and a link to a package builder. There was no phone number anywhere in the homepage text: to call, a visitor had to find a Call Us button partway down the page. It was also the same design the business had used under its earlier eMarquees name, and in December 2023 the page title still read “eMarquee’s Marquee Hire”.

What We Did

We built a new website around the questions people ask before they book a marquee.

The phone number and a Get a Quote button sit at the top of every page, and the number calls with one tap on a phone. The homepage says what Hale does in one line, “Premium Marquee Hire for Weddings, Parties, and Corporate Events”, with two clear next steps: get a free quote, or look at the marquees.

The marquee finder lists every basic marquee in 6, 9 and 12 metre widths, and lets visitors filter by seated guests, standing guests and price. Each one shows its price before VAT, and what wood flooring, carpet and an ivory lining would add. Wedding packages work the same way, filtered by seated and evening guests, each with a starting price and a button to book a free site visit. Corporate hire has its own page covering training, exhibitions, hospitality and temporary warehouses.

The quote form asks what the enquiry is for, so the office knows straight away whether it’s a wedding, a corporate job, furniture or venue dressing. Real customer reviews and the Trustpilot rating sit on the homepage, the about page introduces the team, and there are pages for the areas Hale covers.

The design uses the red and navy of the Hale logo with real photos of Hale’s own marquees.

What Changed

Calling is never more than a tap away. The phone number is the first thing on every page, not a button halfway down the homepage.

People can price up before they pick up the phone. Visitors can filter marquees and wedding packages by their own guest numbers and see what each costs, so the first conversation starts from a real option.

Weddings and corporate work each have a home. Each type of event has its own page with its own examples, packages and next step.

Reviews sit where people decide. Real reviews from Hale’s customers, and the Trustpilot rating, appear on the homepage and on the event pages, next to the quote buttons.

What we built

Built Around How Their Customers Decide.

  • 01

Find The Right Size By Guest Numbers

The marquee finder filters every marquee by seated guests, standing guests and price, and shows what flooring and lining add, before anyone has to ask.

  • 02

    Wedding Packages With Real Prices

Ready-made wedding packages from 60 to 150 seated guests, each with a starting price and a button to book a free site visit.

  • 03

The Phone Number On Every Page

The number sits at the top of every page next to a Get a Quote button, and on a phone it calls with one tap.

  • 04

    Enquiries That Arrive Sorted

The quote form asks what the enquiry is for, from weddings and corporate events to furniture hire and venue dressing, so the office knows what it’s dealing with from the start.
